A Whimsical Adventure

My friend Holly and I have really been having fun making Whimsies. The mermaid was requested by a dear friend, and as I was helping her come to life, I began thinking of her as Calliope. I don't know where the name came from, but it seemed that this singer of the sea recognized a kindred spirit in a singer of the air. The Whimsey home doesn't belong to Calliope, but it is the residence of another whimsey friend.

Just Be

I made this bracelet as a "thinking of you" gift for a friend, incorporating some of her favorite symbols and thought. Wisely, she recognizes that all of us need a time to "just be".

"Senachee" - Siren of the Sea

While making a mermaid Whimsey for a friend, these "spare parts" kept wanting to be included. Since they didn't fit, they were placed together to create a second mermaid.
